Heat Treating

Heat treatments can be used to alter the hardness of your product through a variety of different processes. Through our outside resources and skilled service providers, we can make that possible for you.

The process of manipulating the physical, and/or chemical, characteristics of a material to achieve the desired alloy composition.

Capable of altering the hardness, strength, toughness, ductility, and elasticity. 

Solution Heat Treatment:

• A treatment in which an aluminum alloy is heated to a suitable temperature and held at this temperature for a sufficient length of time to allow a desired constituent to enter into the solid solution, followed by rapid cooling to hold the constituent in the solution.
• Precipitation or Age Hardening:
• A time-temperature-dependent change in the properties of certain aluminum alloys.  It is the result of precipitation from a solid solution of one or more compounds whose solubility decreases with decreasing temperature.  For each alloy susceptible to aging, there is a unique range of time-temperature combinations to which it will respond.

• Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts.
• Improving resistance to corrosion and wear, anodizing is also a great solution for painted products, as it helps the primer adhere to the metal.

Hydrographics:

• A major advantage of this process is that it can be used on plastic, glass, hard woods, and various other materials.
• Hydro dipping provides protection from UV rays, ensureing the longevity of the finish.

Chemical Coversion Coating

• This process removes naturally formed oxides and converts the aluminum surface to a barrier layer that impedes corrosion and promotes adhesion.

Laser Engraving:
